We Made Magical Christmas Trains

We had a magical Saturday making Christmas trains, listening to Christmas music and eating pizza.

Gotta love Christmas!

Drue, Shea and Nathan worked very hard to make amazing works of art.  There's much more baking and Christmas cooking to come.

Rachel was Mrs. Santa's helper while Sydney took her Dad shopping.  I forgot to mention Abby was busy destroying Grandma's Christmas decorations while Grandma was very busy.  Giggle!  Giggle!

Christmas IS PEEKING AROUND THE CORNER!

What a blast we had starting our Christmas season early at "Build A Bear".  Since we won't be back from our Disney cruise until December 6, 2009, we needed to give Christmas an early kick off.

This was Abby's first experience at building a stuffed animal.  I thought all three g-kids were going to burst with happiness.  I had a tear well up as I kissed the heart that went into each of their adorable Christmas themed animals.

I just love that place!  I've been able to share this same experience with many of my grandchildren.

Let's all remember the true meaning and joy of the holiday season.  Let's be thankful for our many blessings, family and our Christ.

Along the way throw in a present or two.  Material things bring temporary joy,  following our Heavenly Father and his son, Jesus Christ, brings us everlasting joy.

We Wanted To "Rock Out"!

We were all set to go "rock out" to my boss's live band playing at a big classic car show here in Las Vegas.  It was a gorgeous Saturday midday excursion.

When we got there we had to park blocks away.  People and cars were everywhere.  When we finally made it to the large open area,  there were wonderful classic cars in prime condition, rows and rows of them.  The bandstand was empty so we figured "The Clique" was on a break .  We sundered up and down every row thoroughly enjoying all the beautiful works of vehicle magic. We were flooded with great  memories of past cars we had owed and loved or wished we had owned and loved.

An hour had passed quickly but we were wondering were the band was.  I decided to zip out the cell and give my boss a ring.  They were on a break and thought they would be ready to rumble in about ten minutes.  About thirty minutes later my boss called me to say there was a big auction that had to be completed before the band played again.  Well, to make a long story longer the auction took a very long time and after two hours and forty five minutes Jim and I had to leave without "rocking out" once!
