We Are Family 2010

The Wallace Family Reunion was a huge success! Colorado was wonderful and we didn't have to call 911 once.

The fishing wasn't great but everyone enjoyed the effort made trying to get us a big family fish fry. Shea's one rainbow trout was delicious!

Megan made scrumptious homemade bread, Sydney lead us in making a really fun pinata, Jimmy and Heather brought paints to make pet rocks and Jeremy taught us fly fishing. Michael and Jenn brought a giant water balloon sling shot. What a blast we all had! Of course Papa and I sent all our g-kids on a treasure hunt for a black locked box full of cash and we played many hours of our traditional bingo game for cash. I do believe there were at least five puzzles put together and the family feud game created by Megan involved all of us and was awesome. The Vegas team rocks!

We had a family baby shower for Rachel and Jeremy. We sang Karaoke and everyone brought awesome gifts.

You may notice that the children have oozing sores and burns all over them. I brought tattoos that look like gross bodily injuries. They loved them!

We traveled to some amazing Indian ruins, we went mountain bobsledding, ate a wonderful chuck wagon dinner and experienced the most fun cowboy live stage show in Durango. Thanks to Chad bringing a small fishing boat we have great memories of zipping around the lake. The lake was cold but that didn't stop us. Some of our best moments were slashing around in the water.

A special thanks to my two favorite son-in-laws, Bob and Jeremy, who put up with our nonsense and worked very hard to make this a wonderful vacation. They make our family complete.

Sydney and Bob granted Taysom and Megan a magical air flight ticket so they were able to spend an extra week with the Las Vegas family. Lucky them, lucky us!

I can't begin to describe every fabulous moment that occurred in one small week. I didn't mention the bear, the chipmunks, ground hogs and eagles, the amazing sunsets, campfires, dutch oven cooking and secret little moments I spent with each of my children and my grandchildren bonding our heart together as one. If laughter makes you healthier, I am a very healthy g-ma. If tears age you, I'm very old. GIGGLE!

To get mushy for a moment, Jim and I are so blessed and grateful for our precious family. We are far from perfect but we all respect each other and realize the gifts that have been granted to us.
Jim and I love our Jimmy, Megan Kate, Shane and Heather. Our thoughts were with Camille and Saelac who were unable to be with us. Next time, sweethearts.

Jim and I love our Michael, Jennifer, Taysom, Tucker, Ilah and Henry.

Jim and I love our Chad, Megan, Bree, Mason and Baby Riley. ( Riley is tucked away in our hearts and I'm sure he is making Heavenly Father smile)

Jim and I love our Sydney, Bob, Shea, Nathan and Abigail.

Jim and I love our Rachel, Jeremy and Drue and soon to be baby Trust.

Where are we meeting in two years, family?

Jeremy is ready to fish!

Summer Fun

Where is the summer going? I can't believe we celebrated the 4TH of July, Independence Day, yesterday. Wait until you see Jeremy demonstrating his fishing equipment in Syd and Bob's swimming pool. Judy and Lisa brought yummy goodies to celebrate with us. I wish there were more pictures of all of us. I guess I was having too much fun living in the moment or the family started yelling at me to put the camera down!

I would be kidding to say I love this Las Vegas heat! I can't wait to be in the mountains of Colorado next week.

While Sydney and Bob had a few fun days in Chicago I had a few fun days playing with Shea, Nathan and Abby. Chuckie Cheese was a great way to beat the heat at lunch time. We spent two hours beating the heat. Giggle!

Sorry, the video won't upload. I'll send it later.
