Great Sadness!

These are the few photos that survived the drowning. My camera decided to take a dip in Sydney and Bob's pool. It passed peacefully but I'm having a hard time adjusting to it missing from my purse. I was always ready at a moment's notice to grab a picture of a special occasion.

Of course I would love a new fancy camera like Megan just purchased but I will have to save up for it.

I have counted on pictures to tell my stories because I'm not a fabulous writer.

Let me wipe away the tears!

Our visit with Chad and family a few weeks ago was awesome and we loved getting to know Lindsey and Spencer for a quick visit. They were in Vegas for a friend's wedding.

I was more than happy to help watch Shea, Nathan and Abby while Sydney and Bob said their goodbyes to Bob's Mom in Michigan. I will miss Cathy's visits to Las Vegas.

Ilah was here for the blink of an eye. We did get in some swimming, shopping and a fun hour of pampering. Ilah's fingernails and toes nails were so pretty.

I guess life will go on but there is an empty spot in my purse and my heart for my Canon. Goodbye sweet camera. How will I irritate my children without you always at my side?

What's The Best Part Of Visiting Globe, Arizona?

The best part of visiting Globe is sharing time with our son, Chad and his amazing family.

Megan, Chad's wife puts me to shame. She made us the most delicious homemade cupcakes I've ever tasted.

Grandchildren, Bree, Mason and Baby Lincoln are absolutely beautiful inside and out.

I can't believe Jim and I are so blessed with such an extraordinary posterity. REALLY!

The children always enjoy a treasure hunt leading them to goodies from Granny Franny and Papa.

The day before our visit to feast our eyes on our newest grandson, Lincoln Porter, I decided to whip up a cuddly blanket, special for this adorable new bundle of joy. Lincoln is a handsome easy going happy baby. There are pictures of him enjoying his gift.

We loved going to church with our darlings.

Bass Pro Shop is always a fun adventure for children and adults.

Nathan's Spring Program 2011

My Day Off

At 8:35 A.M. Nathan and Shea called me and Nathan said, "Grandma, are you coming to my Spring program". I asked quickly what time was it starting. I could hear Sydney in the background saying it starts at 9:15 A.M. Yikes! I said I will be there and hung up. I had to shower, dress, makeup my face ( Major work there) , get the hair dry and drive to his school. I MADE IT!

Then we went to Abby's Gymboree music class and made a quick zip to Toys R Us to find Bree, Mason and Lincoln gifts for next week's visit. We can't wait to get on the road to introduce ourselves to our sweet new grandson, Lincoln.

Mother's Day Is A Special Day!

Church was awesome!

The pancakes with strawberries, Daddy made were awesome!

Dinner with Sydney and Rachel's sweet families was awesome!

Visiting with all my AZ. and MO. kids on the phone was awesome.

I truly need a more expansive vocabulary. Wouldn't you agreed?

I love being a mommy!

Getting Ready For Easter

It's Friday and we're preparing for Easter. Shea, Nathan and Abby worked hard on our annual Easter goodie craft day. Sydney saved me by helping with the creation.

After playing in chocolate and a wide assortment of gooey candies we zipped over to the park with our Tropical Smoothies in hand.

We'll be all ready for church on Sunday and a delicious holiday meal. Let's not forget the Easter baskets and the big egg hunt at G and G's home.

Where are all my grandkids??? Have an awesome Easter! Send pictures, please.

We Survived Spring Break!

Ha! Ha! Spring break was AWESOME! Jimmy, Amy, Emily and Megan crashed at G and G Wallace's home in Las Vegas. They went to Redrock Canyon, Mt. Charleston, The Shark Reef and checked out Papa's Luxor. Sydney and Bob took the girls to the amazing Beatles Love show and dinner.

Then we all packed up and headed to Laguna Beach for a day and two fabulous nights at the California Adventure Hotel at Disneyland thanks to the Keyes family. We stayed in a two story suite that had a full kitchen, dining room, living room, three separate bedrooms with full bathrooms and a loft, complete with couch and a pool table. There were big screen TVs everywhere. AMAZING!

We ate too much and rested too little.

Jimmy and gang had a quick lay over at the Grand Canyon and drove straight home.

As soon as we get all the laundry done we'll all rest. Woo Hoo!
