School Starts Monday

Before you watch the video, let's visit a moment.  I still remember most of my first days of school.  How about you?   In fact I still have dreams or should I say nightmares about forgetting where my next class is or what my locker combination was.  Crazy!

I wondered if I'd like my new teacher or if she or he would like me.  I was afraid I wasn't smart enough.  Mostly, I wanted to look good in my new outfit the first day and find my best friend fast.  Nothing can go wrong if you're with your best friend and looking good.  GIGGLE, GIGGLE!

Shea is quit shy.  He adores his family and likes complete structure in his day.  Rules are rules and he lets you know if you waver from the routine, nicely but firmly.  He's very smart like all my grandchildren.   I'm using him as an example but I know everyone is anxious about going back to school.

My thoughts are with all my "G-Kids" this week as they start their new adventure rather it be in the first grade, fourth grade or the tenth.

Enjoy something and do something nice for someone each day you live.  Of course there will be bad moments but make the good outweigh the not so good.  I'll always love and support you and Heavenly Father is as close as your heart.

What are your memories of that "First day of school"?

Wow, he seems really excited. Sometimes I miss those days where all I had to worry about was being a kid and going to school!

I caught him at a funny moment. Actually when I got to their home He couldn't wait to show me the gift bag his new teacher had given him. Her name is Miss Carol and she has gone the extra mile for sure. This video is an example of Shea"s shyness. He loves school but he was in the moment with giving baby sister a wagon ride. He's not fond of all my picture taking either. HA,HA! I was being sneaky G-Ma. I'm sure Bree will be beaming on her first day of school. Love.

my memories of the first day of school include being pushed out of bed by my mom (i was so tired because i hadn't fallen asleep until three because i was so nervous), fighting for the shower with tucker, and being happy that i didn't get any homework. since i started junior year things have changed a little... instead of being pushed out of bed by my mom, i push the snooze button six times before actually getting out of bed. instead of fighting tucker for the shower, i stay in my bed and read until he gets out and i can go get clean. instead of enjoying no homework on the first day, i come home with 5 syllabi and 3 classes of homework to do... and yet, i can't decide which one i prefer :) despite the homework, i love growing up.

i loveyou grandma! and grandpa! :) you guys are the best!

Dear Taysom,

I love your cute and honest story. You have the best mom and dad ever and you are a combo of both of them. You are "AMAZING".
